A man has been warned after he dialled 999 to complain about a prostitute’s looks after meeting her. West Midlands Police said they were contacted by the caller who said he “wished to report her for breaching the Sale of Goods Act”. The force said the call was received at about 19:30 BST on Tuesday complaining that the woman was not as attractive as she had claimed. Officers have now sent the man a letter warning him about wasting police time. West Midlands Police said the man had claimed he met the woman in a hotel car park. “The caller claimed that the woman had made out she was better looking than she actually was and he wished to report her for breaching the Sale of Goods Act,” a spokesperson for the force said.

This newly advanced prosthetic limb is the result of a collaboration between the University of Pittsburgh and Johns Hopkins University. The arm has the ability to accurately detect vibration, temperature, contact with objects and degree of pressure. It also has up to 27 degrees of freedom of moment, making it far more than a cosmetic addition.
But the biggest attribute of the arm is its ability to be controlled by thought, the one feature viewed as the last hurdle to truly functional mechanical replacement limbs.

Google has offered a few more details about how it shares user data with the government, including in response to national security requests.
As The New York Times reported on Tuesday, when Google is legally required to hand over data about its users, it usually delivers it using a file-transferring technology called secure FTP, David Drummond, Google’s chief legal officer, said in an interview on British television.
FTP is a simple way to upload and download files sent between parties — like an online file folder. Either party can operate the FTP server that the files flow through. In an interview on PBS NewsHour, Mr. Drummond indicated that the FTP server is on the government’s machines and not on Google’s.

Guardian Reporter Glenn Greenwald: We Have List of NSA Targets
I’m certain Glenn Greenwald is rubbing some people the wrong way, but I can’t help delight in the way he admonishes TV talking head “reporters” for focusing on insignificant facts and drawing stupid conclusions. How often do we get to see bad journalists verbally abused by good ones on national television? This is way more entertaining than The Newsroom.
